If you are looking for someplace to ride your bike without all the hustle bustle of modern city streets, look no further than the Chehalis Western Trail. Of course you can walk, jog, run or even ride your horse here also! The Chehalis Western Trail was converted from the Weyerhauser owned Chehalis Western Railroad many years ago and will eventually become 42.5 miles of linked up beautiful Washington trails that includes the Yelm to Tenino Trail. Including the Puget Sound, these trails encompass a wide variety of Northwest nature including lakes, forests, creeks, and even the Deschutes river. Geocaching is a wonderful way to experience the trails. There are more than a dozen geocaches within miles of each other that highlight some of the key places that are worth stopping at, just for the view. Ideal for taking the children on a scavenger hunt, geocaching and the Chehalis Western trail are perfectly suited for each other. Hope to see you out there sometime soon!
